Automotive Service Mechanic

Edwards, Inc. is a full-service industrial general contractor providing construction, fabrication, and crane services. We are currently seeking an Automotive Service Mechanic in Spring Hope, NC. The Automotive Service Mechanic will maintain and repair company vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations as well as repairs on vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
• Be able to diagnose codes vehicles may be giving and resolve the issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidates Should Have:

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even/uneven, stable/unstable, and varying compositions.
• The ability to routinely lift in-excess of 50 pounds on a continual basis.
• Work in awkward spaces and/or positions including confined spaces and climbing.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
• Be able to work long periods of time including evenings and weekends when necessary.

Essential Requirements & Skills:

• Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronics on vehicles.
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnosis systems and methods.
  • Own all tools necessary to perform duties.
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety
  • Ability to follow directions.
• Additional Skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Clean Driving Record.
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • On-the-job training offered.
